Hello Church! Your friendly neighborhood communications director here bringing you some new publications to check out. Before the new year started, your faithful Church Council Chair, Bud Harris, asked mission and ministry leaders in the church to submit a summary of all the things they accomplished in 2016. Bud has been working hard to put […]
Welcome! Thank you for visiting our website and especially for your interest in our church. We are honored that you would spend your time with us and appreciate your effort to join us. We absolutely believe that God is blessing us in this place and that you, too, will be blessed as you visit our church.
Our 11:10 services are traditional worship services with hymns, organ and choir, and pastors in robes and stoles. Our 9:00 service is contemporary with a praise band leading worship and with pastors in casual clothes.
The dress code for all services is whatever is comfortable for you. Some people dress up for church with suits, ties, and dresses, while others dress down for church with t-shirts, jeans, or other casual clothes – and everything in between. Our congregation averages over 300 in worship, spread between our two Sunday services. We also have Sunday School classes for children, youth, and adults at 10:00. A nursery, with two trained and paid staff, is available during all of our Sunday morning activities. Please know children are welcome to join us for worship (a cry room is also available).
A great way to see what we do here at FUMC is to check out our online video recordings posted through Vimeo. You can go to our Vimeo channel at https://vimeo.com/channels/511784 to watch any of our previously recorded services. But the very best way is just to come and visit!
Our church has a fascinating, 160+ year history of ministry in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. The German pioneer families who first formed Fredericksburg UMC have provided a living legacy in the form of descendents, as well as the rich faith tradition that has been passed down through the years. Most important, God is still moving in the hearts of those who gather for worship here.
It is our hope that when you come to worship at Fredericksburg UMC you will encounter the love of God, through the music and through the message, but especially through the warm hospitality you will receive while you are here. Whoever you are, we invite you to make this place your home.
So, come and join us for a visit to one or more of our Sunday morning worship times or to a specific small group or Sunday School class or interest group…. Just get started! Wherever and whenever you visit, we want you to feel welcome! Let us know your interests, and we can direct you to the right place or person. For more information about how to get to our church, click here.
Thanks for visiting!
